The International Society of Forest Resource Economics (ISFRE) and Western Forest Economist (WFE) annual meetings attract national and international forest economists, social scientists, and professionals and offer abundant opportunities for professional growth and development. ISFRE and WFE organize annual meetings that bring together representatives of industry, consulting, academia, and federal and state agencies to discuss current issues in the economics of forestry, timber supply and markets, timberland investments, and forest products trade. ISFRE and WFE members work in many specialty areas, including timber economics and management, forest products and their supply chain, forest product industry, ecosystem services, forest carbon, and GHG emissions, and include many veteran forest resource economists.
